Welcome to
June!
As many of you back home are sweating and turning your air conditioners
on, I am very glad to be where it is cool. Today was about 60 degrees and was
perfect. Class was slightly boring today and I think that was just because it
is Friday. Now I have a ton of homework for this weekend and another quiz on
Monday. I honestly didn’t expect to do this much studying and homework, but I
guess that is why it is called an “Intensive Month.” :)
After class
we had another orientation meeting about the culture here. A lady from the U.S.
Embassy came and told us about all of the nice services they have for us when
we are in foreign countries. She was so precious and very helpful. After that
we had a psychologist come and talk to us about culture shock. A lot of the
other students had very high expectations about Argentina and they have been
having a very different experience than I have. I love it here and can’t wait
until I have some free time to travel around and experience the nightlife!
After this
meeting we got a snack of medialunas (the best things ever) and a soda. Then we
went shopping. I love the fashion here and tonight I bought a sweater that I
love! I am hoping for more clothes and shoe shopping while I am here! ;)
Tomorrow we
are off to El Tigre for the day. We are leaving very early in the morning, so I
better get a lot of sleep tonight! Until
tomorrow.
I hope you are learning how to cook all this delicious foods you talk about so you can make them for me!! :)
